**FAULT DIAGNOSTICS:

**Lead time is approximately 7-10 business days.

**Fee will be charged depending on the make / model / time spent / complexity of the unit.

**In certain instances parts might be required to be replaced for testing purposes or repairs done to PCB due to condition of unit/PCB/nature of fault (T&C’s Apply)

**Warranty Seals:Please note warranty seals will be broken during fault diagnostics process.

** PRICING & PAYMENTS

** Pricing quoted is valid for 7 working days. T&C apply (E&OE)

** If no response / reply is received to a quotation sent, within 7 working days then such units will incur a storage levy fee for each day no response is received, and until such time that a response is received.(See notes on Storage Levy below)

** Pricing only valid while stocks last at supplier and is subject to change.

** If quote is accepted and supplier does not have stock, ETA and pricing for new stock will need to be confirmed.

Pricing for new stock subject to exchange rate at time of arrival.

** In certain instances T&C a non-refundable deposit will be required to cover the cost of parts required before procurement of any parts commences.

**BATTERIES : Conditional warranty on batteries if there is a manufacturing fault.(SUPPLIER DEPENDANT)

**The battery is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period (supplier dependant) and is not guaranteed to provide full capacity for the said period due to loadshedding or the strict compliance of the battery charging, discharging, maintenance and storage instructions.

** *With the amount of deep discharges that batteries are subject to during Load Shedding, battery life and backup times cannot be guaranteed.

**REPAIRS – Upon acceptance of a repair quote, a 50% deposit will be required before procurement of parts commences.

**Lead time for repairs to be done on a unit is approximately 5-10 working days, depending on parts availability at supplier.

** If components are replaced and the unit is operational at functional testing, then the quoted pricing for the repair will be charged.

** If after replacing components, the unit still has an issue, further fault finding will be done and we will then update the customer and advise the way forward.

**If in the event we have to deem the unit irreparable, we will only then charge a fee for the fault diagnostics and testing and refund the balance.

**STORAGE LEVY– Upon receipt of communication that a unit is ready for collection – Please collect within 7 working days of receipt of such communication. Failure to do so will result in a storage levy of R150.00 ex.vat per day for each day the unit is not collected.

** If after a customer has been given a second collection reminder / notification and no response is received (to the 1st or 2nd notification) within 7 working days then Smint Technology will in such instances sell such units to defray the costs of the repair/ parts purchased / fault diagnostics / testing fee / storage levy and administration costs incurred.

**WARRANTY: on UPS/ Inverter – SUPPLIER dependant; Provided that:

**Unit is not overloaded at use **Unit is used under normal conditions

**Unit is used with surge protection

**Polarity of the battery terminals are connected correctly (reverse polarity)

** Smint Repair void seals/markings are intact and that the unit has not been opened after having left the Smint Tech workshop. If unit is opened after leaving the Smint Workshop the repair warranty will be null and void.
